December Fun
Graeme wanted to visit Santa for a second time and make sure he knew that he wanted a Buzz Lightyear watch and a train set.
We have been enjoying getting ready for Christmas. We played outside in the little bit of snow that we got last weekend, did some baking and made a Gingerbread House. It was lots of fun! Gavin missed all the fun because he was sleeping. I planned it that way!

Trimming the Tree
Sorghum Mills Tree Farm
We went to Sorghum Mills Tree Farm in Edmond on Sunday to get a Christmas tree. It was a fun experience and will now be the beginning of a Christmas tradition for us. We picked a Frasier tree from North Carolina. They had 50 acres of trees but if you didn't like the Pine from Oklahoma, which we didn't, you didn't have to walk very far. After we picked it out, we went inside the building and had hot chocolate and apple cider.

Graeme's 4th Birthday Party
I can't believe my little baby is 4! He had his friend birthday party over the weekend. We had 5 kiddos which was a perfect number of preschoolers at our house. He has made some friends at his school and of course, his beloved Megan came too.
We had a pinata because Graeme loves to take anything that resembles a golf club or bat and swing so he loved it. I eventually had to rip it open because they didn't hit it hard enough.
He had a Thomas cake. They had discontinued the Wilton Thomas cake pan so I had to get creative and take another route. He liked it which is all that matters.
OU/Iowa State road trip
Jeff went to the OU game with Joel and the 3 boys. Note Jeff wasn't the only OU fan in that bunch! Graeme was very upset he wasn't going. We took him to the pumpkin patch instead. It was a very stressful game but at least we ended up with a win!
Taylor tossed the football with Graeme. He is getting very good at catching any type of ball. He had a great time with all the boys.
Pumpkin Patch in Iowa
Lynn and I took the kids to a pumpkin patch in Iowa. It was so much fun and Graeme really loved it. He got to play in a bunch of corn kernels, ride on a tire swing, climb a haystack, and go down a huge tube slide. We also took a hayride and got some pumpkins and Iowa kettle corn. They have a tree farm there also. As we pulled in, you could see all the baby Christmas trees. It was a very neat place!

Bowling Alley
We took Graeme bowling for the first time. The ball he used was a little heavy for him but he insisted on putting his fingers through the holes and try to roll it. Their was a huge birthday party and they were using all the light balls. He had fun but it wore him out. He fell asleep on the way home (very unlike him!)

August Update
At 8 mos., Gavin has started crawling. He actually uses his upper body to scoot and his legs catch up with the rest of his body. He is determined to play a game of Candyland with Graeme and I. That always gets him motivated to travel across the room and get his hands on one of those Gingerbread men. He also sits up very well now and will play with his toys for awhile. He enjoys being around his brother!
